Last Day of the Fall Soccer Season!

Today was the last day of soccer for Ben for the Fall Season! I'm a little sad that it's over for the year, but in a way happy because the temperatures are getting colder! Today was a tournament, so he played two games.

Ben loves playing soccer, and is always so happy to play! He's really good on defense, but this season he has proved to be a goal scorer! It's so funny to watch him at his games, he has so much energy and just jumps and bounces around...even when the ball is NOT in play! lol
There are some beautiful farm lands near the soccer area that you can see from the photo! It is so beautiful (especially in Fall), and reminds me of a painting!
Here is Ben and his little "girlfriend!" She was a classmate of his from his "old" school. And they missed each other soo much! Today she informed me that Ben just has to attend her birthday party in a few weeks! She is so cute!
Here is Ben's team with their trophies!
Ben was excited about his trophy, but more excited to go and play on the playground after his game!
We're looking forward to the Spring 2011 season-which starts after Easter. Alex will finally be able to play soccer! And both Ben and Alex will be on the same team! I cannot wait!

Ben's Fall soccer season has officially begun! He had his first practice on Friday night, and he is soo excited! He had the summer off from soccer, and he definitely missed it! And I missed it too! It's so fun watching the little ones play...they are sooo into it!
He is growing up so quickly! Tomorrow is his first day of Kindergarten! We are both sooo excited! I'll post photos from his first day- plus I'll try to do my "Movie Monday" as well! These weeks are just going by soo quickly! Before I know it he will be graduating from high school!

Soccer Camp

This past week Ben participated in "Challenger British Soccer Camp." He went to the local football field and learned a lot of new skills from 9 am until 10:30 every morning this week! I thought that it would be nice and cool in the mornings, but I was wrong. It was near the 90's that early and it was miserable! There was actually one day that the weather was really nice, and that's about it. It has been one of those weeks where you don't bother to do your hair because it's frizzy after being outside for a couple hours! lol

Here is Ben and his soccer coach Craig. Craig is from Scotland and he talked with a very thick Scottish accent! It was really funny because during some of the drills he would have kids repeat what he was saying. The kids ended up repeating in a Scottish accent! lol It was really cute!
Ben and his soccer coach playing a fun game. That was one awesome thing that I loved about this camp. They were so creative with their drills and even included songs and it really made it fun for the kids!
Here they are listening contently to their coach.
Another fun little drill.
Today was the last day of soccer camp. Ben participated in several mini games. Here he is during one of his games. He happened to be the youngest player at camp this year! He sure does have a lot to learn! These kids were really good!
Today was crazy Friday at camp. I ended up getting spray in color for the boy's hair and I face painted a soccer ball on their cheek. Here's a photo of Alex, and he wanted to have pink hair! He claims that it's his favorite color, but I think he says that because he knows it's my favorite!

I am sooo looking forward to Fall! This hot weather is just crazy! I can't remember it being this hot in such a long time! I'm already on a Halloween kick, and I am so anxious to start making some Halloween crafts! Tomorrow is exciting because I am going to a flea market! Hopefully I'll find some goodies, and I'll be sure to share them with you! Have a fabulous weekend!

What A Muddy Mess!

Today it poured outside. Ben had a soccer game scheduled, and they play in the rain. The only time they cancel the game is if it storms. It was pouring when we left the house. Luckily, by the time we got to the field it had stopped! His whole game was rain free....but not mud free!

Ben claims that he loves being dirty, but he was afraid to get muddy. His dirtiness only applies to baths. He says he likes being dirty so he doesn't have to take a bath! lol So at the game he told the coach that he didn't think they should play because of the mud. Well guess what she did? She rubbed his hands in the mud and told him to get use to it, and he doesn't have to worry about it now! lol

This is what his hands looked like after the game! And it really bothered me that they ate their half-time snack with these muddy hands!
These were his shoes and shin guards! I can't believe that we didn't think of taking an extra pair of clean clothes! lol Most parents were just stripping their children down and letting them ride home in their underwear! lol Luckily, we had a towel that he could sit on!
These kids look like they were mud wrestling! I wore my Crocs and if you own a pair you know that they make things slippery if wet or muddy. I nearly wiped out twice in all this mud! Luckily, I caught myself! Now that would have been a mess!

Ben looks soo serious in all of his photos! He's quite the player, he just needs to get in there and be more aggressive!
Here's Ben's reaction after his team scored a goal! He's so competitive and gets so excited when they score!
By the end of the game he was totally covered with mud. If you look closely, you can see the mud that's splashed all over his face! Muddy or not, he sure did have a great time!
