Movie Monday- Autumn in New York

It's that time again! I have to apologize for missing the past two weeks, but life here has been busy! It's the end of the school year, Ben only has 1 more day of school, and just finished up his Spring soccer season! Plus I've taught two lessons on the bird nest to both the preschool and kindergarten class! I also haven't watched a Richard Gere movie in about 3 weeks until the past couple of days! The last two days I've watched two, my poor husband the only thing he gets to watch anymore is a RG movie! lol I was going through withdrawal, so I'll probably have to watch another one tonight! :)

So the movie I'm reviewing is "Autumn in New York." It of course stars Richard Gere and also stars Winona Ryder.
Richard Gere plays the character "Will Keane" who is a 47 year-old restaurant owner in New York City. One night at his restaurant he meets the 22-year-old Charlotte Fielding; played by Winona Ryder.

Will Keane is a ladies man with a revolving door of women going through his life. One night he meets Charlotte, who is a very creative hat designer and artist. She is very intriguing to him and he makes up the story of needing a hat designed for one of his dates. When she shows up at his apartment he claims that his date had stood him up and she reluctantly decides to go to the party with him.

At the party they realized that they had something magical, but Will was unsure about their age difference and wasn't ready for a real long term relationship. Charlotte claimed that she inspired to collect antiques and through her persistence he decided to see her again.

Soon after meeting her, Will found out that Charlotte was terminally ill. They started dating exclusively and Will really started falling for Charlotte. Just as Will was getting close he found out that Charlotte only had a year to live! He tried everything in his power to help her...would that be enough?
A romantic story of love during Autumn in New York!
This was a pretty good movie, but very sad. It's a love story that shows that age is just a number and doesn't mean anything when you are in love!

Besides the collecting antiques quote, my favorite quote is this one that was said by Charlotte:

"If you wanted to seduce me, all you'd have to do is ask!"

Well RG if you are ready this...you don't have to ask! LOL You have my permission! LOL

I give this movie a Richard Gere hotness rating of a 7. While I love his grey hair, I don't like it on the long side as it was in this movie. Other than that, he's super hot as usual!

You make me literally laugh out loud and the best part, is that I don't see it coming!

So you don't like his hair long on the sides. LOL OK then. No shaggy Geres for you :)

Of course, I haven't seen this movie. I knew it was a tear jerker, so I chose not to see it. It was a conscious decision.

I should see it, though, especially with a RG hotness level 7.
